Bono becomes world's richest pop star after investment in Facebook earns him over $1billion

U2’s Bono has become the world’s richest pop star after raking in nearly £1 billion from his Facebook shares. The Beautiful Day hitmaker bought a 2.3 per cent share in the social media network for £56 million in 2009 with the investment group that he co-founded, Elevation Partners. Today that share is worth a whopping £940 million, according to reports. That means that Bono’s venture has earned him more in the last six years than the whole of his incredible music career.

‘Rest in peace with your mommy’, fans react to Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina death

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of pop legend Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, died Sunday aged 22, six months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub in her home.

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months,” a short family statement said, adding she was surrounded by loved ones as she slipped away.

Bobbi Kristina — sole heir to Houston’s estate — was discovered face down and unresponsive in her bathtub in her Atlanta, Georgia home on January 31.

She was revived by emergency crews but lost significant brain function and was placed in a medically induced coma. She died at a hospice in Duluth, Georgia.

Omawumi welcomes baby boy (photo)

Singer Omawumi has given birth to her second child - a baby boy. Omawumi welcomed her bundle of joy in the early hours of today in a hospital in the US. Mother and son are said to be doing great. This is the second child for Omawumi and her husband, Tosin Yusuf. Big congrats to them.
