Ramos and Varane star on an off-night for Real Madrid's forwards

The ESPN FC panel predict who will advance to the Champions League semi-finals, while Craig Burley questions what it will take for Carlo Ancelotti's side to finally defeat Atleti.
It is all still in play in the Champions League quarterfinal between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid after the Spanish capital neighbours drew 0-0 in a fiery first leg Tuesday night.
Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid side carved out plenty of chances but could not find a way through the brick wall that was Jan Oblak in the home goal. Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema had the pick of the chances but could not beat the Slovenian.
Madrid were much improved on the side that lost at the Calderon 4-0 in La Liga in February and will be disappointed not to be taking an advantage with them back to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg on April 22.
Despite Madrid's dominance, Atletico manager Diego Simeone will be happy to take a stalemate back to the Bernabeu and the fact that his side did not concede an away goal, shutting out their city rivals for the fourth time this season on home soil, will be a bonus.
