Embattled former governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtala Nyako, was Monday, quizzed for most of the day over allegation of money laundering running into about N15 billion.
The extended questioning of Nyako by the operatives of the anti-graft agency followed his voluntary return to Nigeria following the exit of President Goodluck Jonathan and his party from government last Friday.

Nyako had before now blamed his travails in the hands of security and anti-graft agencies on the President, whom he accused of persecuting him for saying that he committed genocide against the North East in the name of fighting Boko Haram.
Vanguard learnt that Nyako, who returned from self exile on Saturday, was invited to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja where he was detained and quizzed for over ten hours on Monday.
The former Chief of Naval Staff reported to the EFCC around 10 but was still with his hosts as at the time of filing the report at 8pm on Monday.
Neither the Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, nor its spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, was available to speak on when Nyako would be freed.
